Dear Patients,

Hello. My name is Dr. Ali H. Zakir and I will be the doctor taking care of you at ZealthCare Medical Clinic.

Although I was born in India, I consider myself a naturalized Texan, arriving straight from India to Houston in the middle of a scorching summer when I was only five years old. I graduated from Elsik High School in Alief ISD and went to college at the University of Texas in Austin. If you are an Aggie, please don't hold that against me. I attended medical school at the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston and stayed there to complete a four year residency training program in both Internal Medicine and Pediatrics.

After my time in Galveston, I embarked on a new adventure to a town called Chinle, AZ. For almost the next five years, I took care of the Navajo Indian community on their vast reservation in northeastern Arizona. I cared for both adults and children in the outpatient clinic and in the hospital.

In 2012, I decided to move back home to Houston. After working a few years in the hospital, I decided to open ZealthCare Medical Clinic in 2014 to get back to serving patients in a primary care community setting.

ZealthCare Medical Clinic wishes to be become the primary care medical home for you and your family. Our devotion is to your health and we will strive to provide high quality, convenient, and sensible medical care in your neighborhood.
